Hill Country wildflowers and views

On Saturday we left Lake Buchanan heading to Kerrville. Took the back route so we could go through Marble Falls, Johnson City and Stonewall. These were some of the flowers beside the road as we passed through Marble Falls. Mainly bluebonnets and small black eyed susans.  When we came to Wildseed Farms near Fredericksburg we parked to buy some seeds for friends and neighbors.  There are flowers everywhere here and with over 200 acres they grow it all.  These bluebonnets and red poppies were by the gate and they even have Aggie Bluebonnets, called Alamo Fire. A few actually are a very light pink, almost white.  It was very crowded with lots of people walking in front of you to take pictures so we actually left quickly after we accomplished our mission.  Better to come on weekdays this time of year. There are fields of red poppies and then some of mixed poppies as well. Lovely!  We could not find a place for lunch as the flower peepers are everywhere so we simply drove on into Kerrville and our destination of By the River RV Park.  It is always good to park here with our great rear view. We got spot #15 this time and are under two trees with lots of room for the screen gazebo and sitting area. We will be here all week to do several side trips for flower pictures.  Found out they had to evacuate the park back in early March due to flooding in Hunt but no problems otherwise and the waters quickly subsided.
